CMEC joins Alpha Consortium for KADUNA Refinery

KADUNA, Nigeria, February 27, 2017 — China Machinery and Engineering Corporation submitted its letter of intent to to Kaduna State Government to join the New Kaduna Refinery consortium led by Alpha Group of United Arab Emirates. In December of 2016, His Excellency Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding between Kaduna State, CNPC’s DGE Dangang Oilfield Services, Chongqing Construction Engineering Group Co. Ltd , Tianjin Energy Resources Ltd and Alpha Group of Companies. The Project intends to leverage planned crude delivery from Niger’s Agadem oil fields to Kaduna State which CNPC is the major operator.
